In the early 2000's, Dr. Mark Morales performed over 350 heart surgeries on children in various parts of Mexico. Dr. Morales had an ongoing relationship with the DIF (Desarrollo Integral de la Familia) of Mexico in Saltillo, Coahuila at Hospital Del Niño “Dr. Federico Gomez Santos” – Chrysler, where he performed surgeries on a monthly basis. He worked closely with government officials to provide his services for children who would not be able to afford their surgeries otherwise.
In addition, Dr. Morales worked with Asociación de Ayuda a Niños en Estado Crítico (ADANEC) to provide heart surgeries in other parts of Mexico. Dr. Morales was affiliated with the Hospital de Especialidades Santander S.A. in Reynosa, Tamaulipas where he headed the cardiothoracic unit. He performed various cardiothoracic surgeries on adults and children. Dr. Morales also worked with the Health Department of Zacatecas and was able to perform multiple operations on those in need of his cardiothoracic expertise. Dr. Morales has performed surgery in various parts of the world as part of the Medical Missions Foundation. He has had the opportunity to perform multiple thoracic surgeries in countries such as Ethiopia and El Salvador. Dr. Morales has an international team of physicians and nurses that have been working with him for over 20 years.
